Biography
Clennis was the original guitarist for the popular Houston group, Archie Bell and the Drells. He plays a style of guitar that is hard to catagorize, but sounds closely like what is labeled Smooth Jazz.
He played and sing Gospel music for many years in and around Houston, and released his first smooth jazz CD, on the HI-Sound label. You can hear his music on independent radio and Australia Radio.
Clennis, sometimes recording under the name "Flint". Recently Clennis, some of the Drells and legendary singer Archie Bell hooked up to complete a new CD for Archie (Archie is Back). Having worked together for so long the sessions went too smooth...there was studio time to spare. Clennis thought this would be a good time to use the extra time to do a project he had on his mind...he did...it is called I'm never going home and the boy is playing his "Smooth R&B" as he calls his music...but also recorded a lovely vocal...Do you think you can do this...eat you hearts out Drells
And the music continues... CLENNIS
