What To Expect from THE WAY YOU LOOK AT ME

Everything about this EP, just makes me feel good. This EP is about love. Love for yourself, family, the holy spirit. The one song I am the most proud of, has touched more lives than I probably realize, or have been told, is "Tears In The Rain". May my husband's mother and every other lost love, forever be with us.

1. The Way you look at me (3:33) (Featured Track)

Writers: Carrie Cunningham
Publishing & PRO: Sound Barn Publishing / ASCAP

This is a mid tempo love song, which is also the title track off my EP. I think this song encompasses parts of me I never think about until I wrote this. The rain and sun is my childhood in the midwest, the ocean is what I love, and just having someone look at you with adoration, is more than enough.

2. The Country Side of me (2:57)

Writers: Carrie Cunningham, Charlie Craig
Publishing & PRO: Sound Barn Publishing / ASCAP,
Powerplay Music / BMI

This song has a traditional country feel, and it is about how someone can make you feel at peace and happy driving down dirt roads. Good country living. When I listen to Don Williams, I get that feel good feeling, so he was an inspiration for this song.

3. Arms of Something Wild (3:51)

Writers: Carrie Cunningham, Tim Buppert
Publishing & PRO: Sound Barn Publishing / ASCAP,
Tiny buckets O’ Music / ASCAP

During the time I was writing this song, I was really into songwriter Gretchen Peters (Independence Day, Bus to St Cloud etc). I loved the way she could write a song and leave people deciphering for themselves the meaning behind it. So I took a stab at writing that way. Some people think it's a love song, others think it's about God. The answer is yes.

4. Huntin' Season (2:37)

Writers: Carrie Cunningham, Richard Parkinson, Michael Taylor
Publishing & PRO: Sound Barn Publishing / ASCAP, One Rich Song publishing / BMI, Empty Mind Music / BMI

Huntin' Season is a fun western swing song, I had a blast writing. My co-writers and I decided to write a song comparing a woman going out, to a man getting ready to go hunting. I think we spent more time laughing than anything.

5. Tears in the Rain (4:49)

Writers: Carrie Cunningham, Tim Bishop
Publishing & PRO: Sound Barn Publishing / ASCAP

This song is personal to anyone who has lost someone to cancer or an illness. My husband lost his mother to Breast cancer and I went off stories he would tell me while she was in the hospital on the last stages of her life.

6. What We Do For Love (3:44)

Writers: Carrie Cunningham, Joseph J Hrasna III
Publishing & PRO: Sound Barn Publishing / ASCAP,
Joe Hrasna / BMI

This song is a classic case of wanting to write one thing and end up writing something completely different. What We Do For Love is a tempo song about teen pregnancy with a positive spin about life. Hope and love lives where you least expect it.

The music industry is calling her an authentic, sultry, slightly twisted and totally believable voice on the New Country/Americana scene.
