Biography
BluesRoot began in 2006 and was started by John D. Moore, singer/songwriter, harmonica player and guitar picker who had recently retired from a 35 year career in business...advertising, marketing, and promotions. He also owned a concert production company which staged shows for professional sports teams and others. But his heart was in music as a performer...which he had been in the 1960's with several mid-south rock bands. He added fellow '60's generation guitarist, Art Borgeson, and the BluesRoot project was born. BluesRoot draws from, and pays tribute to all the greats of the 1950's...blues, rockabilly and rock 'n roll...who laid the foundation for that special Americana music. BluesRoot shows also rely on personal insight into the '50's and '60's. BluesRoot's first CD,"Live. Real. In the moment" features ten songs written by Moore and recorded live...one pass through...just the way they used to be done. Several songs are generating both internet radio and brick and mortar airplay. The CD is in international distribution. "Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
