Biography
Mixing satirical lyrics with music thats oft-described as down and dirty rock n roll, Scottish four-piece Blind Pew have established themselves as one of the most promising bands on the Scottish music scene.

Formed in Largs in 2003, Blind Pew typically rocked their way free of small town life. The four met at school and have been playing together ever since. For the most part now based in Glasgow, the bands prosaic beginnings have led to a musical career thats anything but generic.

Their own, irreverent brand of rock stylings that have drawn comparisons to the likes of The Rolling Stones and The White Stripes has been readily met with the enthusiasm of critics and crowds alike.

Support slots with long-time friends Dogs Die In Hot Cars, Kid Symphony and Three Unstrung, as well as airplay on BBC Radio Scotland and XFM Scotland raised the bands profile and paved the way for the well-received EP Youre Claimed.

Following the EP's release, Blind Pew were featured as Artist of the Week on Karma Download, played at the PRS New Music Tent at Edinburghs Fringe Festival, supported The Subways at Gig (Edinburgh) and Littlans at the Glasgow Barfly. The latter half of 2006 saw Blind Pew sign to A List Records and support Idlewild at Strathclyde Students Union

In the words of one critic, Blind Pew know how to take their already great songs and kick them up the arse with a good dose of rock star stylings for the live setting.

Indisputable garage rock prowess is often interspersed with energetic theatrics reminiscent of some of the genres most-loved acts and supported by the bands obvious on-stage chemistry.

Look out for debut single 'Hungry Young Fighter' - released on July 16th 2007, to be followed in August by debut album 'Blueprints For World Domination'
