Biography
Billy Jim Baker is a clown that's lived a funny life. This Smoky Mountain musical minstrel man was a featured clown with Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey, comedy regular on Hee Haw, Dolly Parton's featured musical comedy star at Dollywood and at his own award-winning Old Smoky Hoedown show in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. In 2001 he was inducted into the International Clown Hall of Fame.

Writer of two Jerry Jeff Walker classic album titles, "Contrary To Ordinary"- Big Shoes & Baggy Pants...is a musical observation of the road not taken by most folks. Funny songs, look you in the eye serious, irreverent & pie-in-the-face profound tunes wrapped in a colorful life, a clown's curiosity and a warm, soulful voice. The grease paint joys and slapstick sorrows have made this singing soul and his traveling trunk of tunes a CD worth listening to.
