Biography
Billy Jeter's music comes from a collage of influences, Mississippi Delta Blues, Rock n Roll and Texas songwriter. Born in the Mississippi Delta in Arkansas 1955 Jeter was exposed to an intricate tapestry of music styles, rich in history and colorful characters. The late sixties and early seventies were an exciting time for a young listener with the great songwriting of Robertson, Hunter, Neil Young and any more. Growing up in this time in the golden age of Rock n Roll helped Jeter forge a musical base that started broad and continues to grow.
The strength of his stories, eclectic characters and references to real events establish Billy Jeter as a master storyteller, historian and songwriter who uses music as a canvas for his artistry.
These days Billy divides his time between the Arkansas Delta, Colorado Mountains and his favorite hobby of raising pecans.
