Biography

My full name is Tolkachov Andrey Anatolyevich. I was born February 5, 1962 in Minsk. I am married. I have been engaged in music since 1978. I have studied the theory of music, vocal school, rudiments of composition, playing the guitar and keyboard instruments.
In 1980 I was one of the founders of a rock band "Bliznietsy" (engl.“The Twins”), which was popular enough at that time and it was even mentioned in the New York rock music encyclopedia (Belarusian Rock Encyclopedia "Praz rok-pryzmy: zbornik artykulau i interv'iu", New York: BINiM, 1989, Library of Congress *89062683). In 1986-87 I was one of the singers in a jazz orchestra under the direcrion of Vyacheslav Serdjuk. Among the musicians of the orchestra I was awarded with the rank of the laureate of jazz music festival.
In 1988 I created a rock band "Zholty Privkus" (engl."Yellow Flavor") which acted successfully at the international festival "Nоn-stop" and took prize-winning places in city competitions.
In 1996 along with some musicians I prepared for the edition and published the music collection "Hits of XX century" which can be found in the city libraries. From 1999 to 2001 I was the vocalist of a rock band "Gayer".
I have constantly composed music and lyrics. Some of my compositions were played on channels of the Belarusian radio and TV. Since 1997 I have been engaged in arrangement with the use of a computer and a synthesizer. During this period I have written for about fifty soundtracks mainly in pop style. I have a domestic sound record studio, which allows carrying out projects on a professional level.
I was repeatedly in the role of the sound producer and scored the performances of actors as well as various other music events.
I constantly improve my professional level. I subscribe and study special periodic literature, fill up a selection of thematic items from the Internet and test some musical equipment. I am the author of the several technical articles published in "The Musical Newspaper" in Minsk and in the professional magazine "Musical equipment" in Moscow. I give some advice to beginning musicians and arrangers. I have a perfect knowledge of computer and computer audio and MIDI programs (first of all Cakewalk SONAR and Samplitude). My English is sufficient for communication and reading of technical articles.
At the present time I am basically engaged in service of various entertaining events as a conductor, a vocalist, a musician and a sound producer. I also take orders for making music for filming and ads clips.
My favorite band is Led Zeppelin.
