Biography
Amy Craze's music is a sultry blend of soul, rock and rootsy pop. Her sweet voice envelops you in deep haunting tones, while her lyrics deliver fierce, raw, emotional truth. In the creation of her first album "Deliver Me", Amy moved to California where she collaborated with acclaimed artists, producers, engineers and musicians. Writing with Gerald O'Brien who wrote Amanda Marshall's hit "Birmingham", and Jim Huff, producer to the artist Edwin, as well as up and coming songwriters such as Oliver Pigott, Fleming Burton, and Matthew Emmer challenged and broadened Amy's song writing abilities. As she took her work to be mixed by producer/engineers such as Emile Kelman, assistant to T-Bone Burnett as well as Mike Tucker who had recently finished mixing for Britney Spears, Amy awarded herself the ultimate creative experience. During this time Amy's unique style and sound captured the attention of Madonna's brother Mario Ciccone, who quickly stepped forward to become her L.A. based manager. This connection lead her to tackle her next musical endeavour, to learn as much as she could about the business side of the music industry and aquire herself a position at what was then Madonna's record label, Maverick Records. Recently moving back to Toronto, Amy has continued on with her writing, recording and performing with full force. Although most of her time is allotted to recording in her home studio and with other talented artists, such as Sebastian Pigott, Alexandra Slate and Peter Linseman, she also performs on a regular basis with her new band. Look out for Amy's debut album "Deliver Me", a work as unique, captivating and mesmerising as the artist herself.
