In the Book of Proverbs chapter thirteen in the first half of verse twenty two the Word of God says, “a good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.”

Donna Ulisse is the granddaughter of those godly grandparents Lloyd and Martha Butler., who inspired her to give words and voice to the music that you will hear as you listen to this album, entitled “Holy Waters”.

Music was like the streams in the desert of Martha Butler’s soul. She sang her way through the dry and desolate times of life with Lloyd keeping the rhythm count from the pulse beat of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Home was the hearth where the children could feel the warmth of Christ’s everlasting love and the 91st Psalm became Martha’s song and prayer shawl from the Lord covering her husband and children and their children down through the ages.

Music is the gift that God gives to a person that they may express their deepest emotions in times of tragedy, trials, and temptations. In the sorrows of life, when we walk through the valleys that seem impassable, God births a song in the dark nights of our soul to sing as we pass through those valleys. Music also gives expression to those moments when we see the Light of His glory on the horizon of a new and glorious day in which we can give Him Praise and Honor.

Donna’s music is birthed from the pathos of her grandparent’s culture and is shared with you as a legacy that she wears as a mantle to the glory and honor of her Savior Jesus Christ.
