Biography
Dave Meredith and Marc Moss met at Marc’s recording studio Target Studios in the eighties. They worked together on Dave’s debut CD for Silent Planet Records (Brooks Williams, Phil Madeira, more,) “Skatman Meredith”. Marc Moss recorded many more Skatman projects together.
While Dave toured US and Europe extensively supporting his Silent planet releases. Marc sang his songs from Austin to Nashville. They always kept in touch and shared experiences on the road. Marc also worked in the studio and on the road with David Bromberg, Linda Ronstadt, Los Lobos and many more, while co-writing and performing touring with Angel Band for several years.
Marc relocated to The Hudson Valley and began performing with his wife Ency as The Mosstins. They released their critically acclaimed first CD “Hardscrabble”in 2013.
In 2020, when the COVID Pandemic hit, Marc & Dave, all performances canceled, decided to start writing together and via Zoom, composed a new album together. The result was “Late for the Moon”, a collection of eclectic melody-driven Americana tunes.
Late for the Moon was critically acclaimed and encouraged Moss Meredith to continue their songwriting partnership, and that resulted in their 2023 release Planting Seed.
Moss Meredith has found a following in Europe through streaming services and independent radio. Their new single “Blodwyn” gained close to 100,000 streams in Spotify alone during the first month of release.
Blodywn is the first single from the new release from Moss Meredith “The Streets of Evermore”. The 12 song release contains some of Moss Meredith’s finest work. A more rocking effort, heartfelt, and deep.
