To some, Meg needs no introduction. For others... Born and raised in Kelowna, BC, and then a 5 year span in Winnipeg, Canada, Meg Evans has performed extensively from BC to the Yukon, to Ontario. Perhaps better known throughout the Okanagan and Boundary area in BC, Meg has been on the stage for nearly three decades, including 10 years as half of the Evans Sisters duo with her sister Sal. Meg's musical prowess is not surprising; besides extensive conservatory piano training, her parents, both singers and players, contributed to her musical wealth. Growing up, she was able to hear material from her Métis heritage, and influences from past eras as well.
Meg's been involved with various recording endeavors with an extensive background as a studio singer, as well as live theater performances. Recently, when her popular in-demand "Undercover Band" dissolved as a result of an irreplaceable band member loss, she started devoting more time toward an album of her own with producer Ron Mahonin.
In her spare time, when not in the studio singing/co-arranging background vocal parts for other artists, Meg works on her own material, vocal coaches and mentors other singers, and works to kick-start the careers of younger up-and-comers through her RPM Creations production/creative business.
Her current album, 'Look At Me' is a collection of some of her favorite cover songs, some originals of her own, two co-written with her producer, and other songs not previously released.
