Since 1987 MCG has preserved, presented and promoted jazz to the greater Pittsburgh region. We are a non-profit organization on Pittsburgh’s North Side. MCG Jazz supports its mission through a subscription based annual concert series featuring jazz legends and emerging artists. The MCG Jazz concert series reaches over 12,000 individuals annually in its 350 seat music hall. We have recorded 28 years of concerts and have almost 50 commercial products in the marketplace with access to a broad cross-section of the community and nationally with our albums being played on radio stations across the United States. The audio and video archive at MCG is one of the most significant collections in the country with the intention to preserve jazz for future audiences by making it accessible.
