Biography

As a young girl growing up in NE Texas and SW Arkansas, Karmyn loved to sing and perform. At age 11, she won Miss Texas National Pre-Teen and spent her year performing in Ark-La-Tex. She was the lead singer for the “For Kids Sake Music Video for Channel 12 in Shreveport, LA. In 1995, Karmyn won the title of Miss Louisiana and a talent award at Miss America 1996. After Miss Louisiana Karmyn began pursuing her music and acting career in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. She appeared as a principle in 10 commercials as well as film & TV and can currently be seen on Lifetime Movie Network's Inspector Mom series. Karmyn has also added songwriting to her resume along with her Podshow, the Karmyn Kast available on iTunes. This year, Karmyn made the move to the Los Angeles area to further pursue her career. She has recently signed with a commercial agent and has two commercials currently airing, Hertz Rental Car and Half-Price Books. With the release of her self-titled cover tune album, she has recently signed with a booking agent and has scheduled performances in New York and Los Angeles. Karmyn holds 2 Fine Arts Degrees in Music & Drama as well as her Bachelor of Applied Arts & Science in Administration from Texas A&M University.
