John Lindberg Trio
John Lindberg Trio kicked of as a traditional Rockabilly band in 2004, since then they’ve toured extensively all over Sweden with frequent visits to Finland & Norway, expanding their fanbase gig by gig. Along the way they have developed their own unique brand of Rockabilly as they have incorporated influences from other genres aswell, this in conjunction with a tight & powerful liveshow has gone down a storm!
No matter what kind of event or venue JLT performs at, this is the act people are talking about on their way home, somehow there’s no doubt that this band is heading for the top!
With over a thousand live performances in the past they have reached far beyond the regular Rockabilly scene and they continue to belt out their music and there seems to be no stopping yet.
John whom been a real Rockabilly cat since chilhood started to perform in front of a live audience at age thirteen, with just the guitar backing him up. He performed with this set-up for awhile but soon felt the urge to have some more power behind him.
In 2004 he teamed up with bassplayer Patrik Backlund & drummer Joakim Dunker who was more or less born & raised on the stage as he is the son of the legendary Swedish drummer Ingemar Dunker (Ulf Lundell, Thomas Ledin, Perssons Pack and more …. ). In 2006 Patrik was replaced by Martin Engström whom they knew from other local Rockabilly outfits, now John had the solid beat he was looking for.
In October 2009 JLT released their third album “Brand New Philosophy” wich entered the Swedish chart at #11. Their first entry on the charts but surely not the last.
