Biography

Jake Workman, lead guitarist for Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder, releases the long-awaited solo album, "Landmark". While full of incredible playing by each of the all-star musicians, each song stays true to the melody and heart behind it. These are all instrumental songs surrounding the bluegrass genre primarily. Some lean traditional bluegrass, some toward swing, some toward Irish, and all have great writing and production. The other musicians beside Jake include Stuart Duncan on fiddle, Sierra Hull on mandolin, Russ Carson on banjo, Justin Moses on dobro, Jeff Picker on bass. There are appearances also by Ricky Skaggs on mandolin, Jeff Taylor on whistle and accordian, and Rebekah Workman on fiddle.
