Gilad Hesseg is an Israeli/Irish musician. He's been making classics rock since he was 12, combining his two loves – 70’s rock and a passion for classical poetry – ranging from the biblical David’s Lament to the twentieth century works of Edgar Allen Poe, Hemmingway, and others.
At age 20 Gilad started his own rock band, at first playing mostly cover tunes, and later performing his own original music playing on stage every night and weekend for 13 years. He wrote a musical On the Red Sofa, based on Rachel’s poetry. The show played over a period of 6 years.
In 2007, Maestro Stanley Sperber, conductor of the J. A. C. Choir commissioned him to write a new choral composition for his choir. The result was Annabel Lee. Later, Maestro Richard Coffey, Conductor of Concora Choir, added it to the choir's repertoire.
Recently Gilad assembled a 6 member group that that is currently preforming in Israel. Gilad also performs at smaller clubs 80-100 People, playing only his acoustic Guitar and accompanied by his two Backup Singers.
