Biography

Delta 88 are a rockin’trio from Devon,England,with strong original songs. Inspired by rock n roll, rockabilly and hillbilly of the 1950s, with a few other genres creeping in along the way, Delta 88 bring the raw energy and rock n roll spirit of Memphis in 1956 into the modern world. Taking influence from diverse sources such as 1950s sci-fi films, film noir, rockabilly greats including Elvis Presley and Charlie Feathers, UK skiffle, travel by train, car and motorcycle and telling timeless tales of love, loss, revenge and passion, Delta 88 will take you on a high-tempo, whirlwind rockin’journey that leaves you wanting more.

We write our own material and have released two albums on the Western Star record label - "Rocket Powered" in 2017 and "Firefly" in January 2019.

UK Rock n Roll Magazine said of us "The band's sound has a distinctive undercurrent of primitive early '50's rockin' beats which is fused effortlessly with a more contemporary edge to create an immensely catchy and hugely danceable sound that flows sweetly from the speakers".

The UK Rock N Roll Magazine review of Firefly said "this is British modern rockabilly at its best".

We play live regularly in the UK, at clubs, pubs, festivals and rockin' weekenders, plus classic car and motorbike shows.
