Biography
In February 2011, Dakota Jay released his third EP "Love You No More" including tracks produced by two-time Grammy winning engineer Andy Kravitz (The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Vince Gill) and two-time Grammy nominated engineer David Ivory (Patti LaBell, Erykah Badu, The Roots). The fourth cut on the album "Push The River" has received much attention from major Philadelphia radio station WXPN 88.5FM and was selected as the Philly Local Pick of the Day on March 22nd 2011 by Helen Leicht. The "Love You No More" EP is currently averaging 1,500 plays a month on various internet radio stations and topping many station charts.
Since moving to Nashville in 2009, Dakota has been working with a handful of the heaviest hitters in the Country music scene. In March of 2011, he cut "Gonna Get Drunk" on friend and cowriter Drew Gregory's EP "My Drunk Friends" produced by Eddie Gore (BB King) featuring the legendary Steve Cropper ("Sitting On The Dock of The Bay", "Midnight Hour") on background vocals. Dakota is currently in pre-production for his upcoming, full-length studio Bluegrass album to be released January 2012.
