Biography
Loaded with jet fuel and ready for lift off, ROCKET is the new release from Coyote Kings. These veteran Blues Rockers from the high desert of Eastern WA hit their stride with this their 7th album.
Perennial festival favorites led by the sultry vocals of Empire Award Hall of famer, Tiphony Dames, and blistering guitar of Robin Barrett, deliver a heavy payload of straight-ahead boogie, funky rock and deep soul on ten new tracks set for a landing in March of 2019 on Underworld Records. Special guests, Diego Romero on guitar and saxophonist Nate Miller add youthful fire to the already jet-propelled combo. "The Groove Section," Kit Kuhlmann on Bass and drummer Gordon Townsend, burn up the opening track ‘Mojo Run,’ and dig deep into the groove of ‘All Tangled Up,’ while Dames shows off the depth of her range on Blues Lament ‘Baby’s Gone,’ then everyone shines on the expansive “Well Runs Dry,’ and dance floor filler ‘Shakin’ It.’ Rocket is poised to hit the stratosphere and boldly explore new worlds for Coyote Kings.
"Rocket is simply an outstanding album. Blues rockers take note the Coyote Kings are coming atcha!” Biggdaddy Ray Hansen-Blues Therapy Radio Worldwide.
“Rocket offers you the signature Blues-Rock release the Coyote Kings are well known for with songs All Tangled Up, Break Free and Drive Me; to Well Run Dry, a Blues Ballad that Dames delivers a deep and soulful story of a love who’s well has ran dry.
