Biography
Cedar Hill led by National Old Time Country and Bluegrass Music Hall Of Fame Member, Frank Ray, has perhaps never sounded more at ease bringing you the Original, Emotive, Hard Driving style of Ozark Bluegrass Music they are known for, with the group of great musicians and singers that have come together.

Cedar Hill has appeared as artists on the Grand Ole Opry. They have toured the UK, Canada, and the entire US.

It is apparent that with Jim Bunch, Pete Brown, Patti Lafleur, and Dan Stokely, the music comes easy and the fun and smiles from the band members and audiences tell the story. As one writer put it, "Cedar Hill is The Real Deal when it comes to true Bluegrass music, but instead of the appalachians, their music is spawned out of the Ozark Mountains of Missouri and Arkansas".

Be sure to join them and hear their high lonesome and hard driving Bluegrass music as they continue to bring you some of the finest original, emotive, Traditional Ozark Bluegrass music that has become synonymous with the name Cedar Hill. In the words of a recent film, you have to put sharing an evening or weekend with them on your "Bucket List"

Liner Notes for Cedar Hill - By Request-
by Frank
"I feel like, after 50 years of playing in a bluegrass band, I have nothing much left to say but thank you Bluegrass friends and fans. Thank you for supporting, buying, encouraging, and by making it possible to play my Cedar Hill interpretation of Ozarks influenced Bluegrass music in venues around the world.

There are no thanks enough for my dear wife and best friend Vicki, who has stuck by me, comforted me and loved me while allowing me to write and play the music I feel God gave me. We will have been partners in life 53 years on July 15, 2017, and you have more than carried your part for every one of them. You have given me four children who are an unspeakable treasure in my heart. Like the song say's hon, "God gave you to me."

Most of all, my glorious savior, Jesus, who had never left me nor forsaken me even when I was yet a sinner. It is Him who has supplied the extra bit of strength I needed, the temperance required, or just the right word for a song I was writing, and lastly, it was Him who put the song in my heart. You have blessed me far beyond my talent. I desire to serve (be of use) you.

I would be remiss if I failed to acknowledge the great band mates with whom God has blessed me. Their talent speaks for itself in live performance and on this recorded album of most requested Cedar Hill songs, for which I am certainly grateful. However, it is their character, integrity, and dear friendship that I consider the greater blessing. Each one of them, Jim Bunch, Ferrell Stowe, Pete Brown, Patti LaFleur, Dan Stokely, and Jim's wife Pam Bunch who though she doesn't play in the band, has worked equally as hard as any of us for the sake of Cedar Hill. I am proud to say these people represent Cedar Hill music and the best of my beloved Ozarks. Thank you, Cedar Hill.

I want to say thank you to the great number of excellent musicians and singers that I have been blessed to have enjoyed your contributions and participation as band mates over the years. Trying to name 50 years of Cedar Hill musicians would take time but know that no matter how long you were with me, your influence is still in the mix of Cedar Hill music.

For those of you who might be saying, "my favorite Cedar Hill song isn't on here," just hang on. I quickly found out; there is a need for a volume two.

A man who has friends is blessed, I consider myself highly blessed.
Who knows what yonder lies?

I am a people lover and can say without reservation, I love you, thank you, and God bless you.
Frank Ray"
