Biography
Arcane Dimension is the San Francisco Bay Area premier Avantgarde World Fusion band/performance group, featuring musical blend of world fusion, electronic beats, and tribal bellydance, mixed with rock attitude! The sound revolves around enchanting female vocals, haunting bowed guitar (GuitarViol) melodies, and hypnotic rhythms. Ritualistic elements, one of a kind costuming and stage decorations, guest musicians and dancers complete the elements incorporated into the live show.
On May 15, 2012 Arcane Dimension released their highly anticipated, and genre defining, album titled “Avantgarden” with the three singles, “Atlantis Rising” ,“Love Hypnotique”, and "Two Hundred Swords" already making waves in the worldwide community.
Another current release from the band is a dance album: “Tribal Collaborations” with Wildcard Bellydance. Described as a “visionary work of art, a musical feast”, the album was produced with ATS/ITS (American Tribal Style) belly dancers in mind. The music dives deep into diverse exotic soundscapes, and takes you on a journey around the world.
“From the cobblestones of an old city in Spain, to the sacred temples in the Himalayas, everyone is bound to find something in the music they can connect to.”
The core line up consists of Jarek Tatarek, a Polish-American multi-instrumentalist (founder of the legendary Polish thrashers Astharoth, Enclave, Halcyon Days) and Teresa Camp, an international performer and vocalist. Formed in 2004, Arcane Dimension, rooted in atmospheric rock metal, has been on a musical journey releasing several albums: “In Ecstasy & Sorrow” (2005), “The Becoming” (2009), and “The Awakening” (2010).
The band’s message is about self-empowerment, awakening, and raising the consciousness, with the music transporting you to another place, another time, and a new frame of mind.
Arcane Dimension has performed all over Northern California, at festivals (Harmony Festival, Handcar Regatta, Hookahdome), clubs (1015 Folsom, Hopmonk, The Aubergine), belly dance events (Tribal Fest, North Bay Bellydance Bazaar), and bookstores (Open Secret, Ancient Ways). The band’s open format allows performing as a small trio or a larger group with guest musicians and dancers.
