Biography

My name is Amanda Cook I am from Jay, Fl and I front the Band Kennesaw Ridge. I've been playing bluegrass as part of a family group for about 10 years. In 2013, I decided it was time to step out and make an attempt at a solo career. My album "One Stop Along the Road" released October 2014. The project is a mixture of hard driving bluegrass, contemporary bluegrass and gospel. The band formed a little over 2 years ago, however the members have played together for years and have formed an amazing musical bond that shows in their live performances.
Band members include Amanda Cook Lead Vocals, Carolyne Van Lierop on Banjo, Scotty French on Guitar, Crystal Owens on Bass, Matt Miller on Fiddle and Greg Jones on Mandolin.Amanda Cook and Kennesaw Ridge offers a unique style on a great mix of both traditional and contemporary bluegrass. This band leaves a fresh and upbeat mix of music that leaves audiences tapping their toes. You will enjoy their mix of bluegrass, gospel and old time country thrown into their sets.
