Biography
Aidan Muse is a 12 year old award winning banjo player and performer from Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
He has earned 1st (2021/2023) and 2nd (2022) place titles at the East Troy, WI Bluegrass Festival Banjo Competition, and was awarded a blue ribbon and the Kenosha County Fair Merit Award for Musical performance in 2022, '23, and '24. Aidan’s story was also featured in 2023 on CBS 58 Milwaukee Sunday Morning.
Aidan has appeared as the featured Woodsongs Kid for “Banjo Night” on the Woodsongs Old Time Radio Hour, and as a featured performer on Season 2 of the new Woodsongs Kids series. The show is broadcast on over 500 radio stations, via live webcast, on-line streaming, video/audio podcast, on PBS airing in 90 million households, the RFD network, and on the American Forces Radio Network.
Aidan is a member of Tomorrow’s Bluegrass Stars, and was selected to perform at the 2023 IBMA World of Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh, NC as part of Kids on Bluegrass. Aidan appeared at 2024 MerleFest as an Acoustic Kids Ambassador and performed his debut single, "Farmer" live on the Dance Stage and Log Cabin Stage.
In addition to playing banjo, Aidan loves reading, art and creative writing. Two of his original pieces were published in 2023 in the Southern Lakes Anthology – including his “One-in-a-Million” composition, written about his experience first meeting his banjo teacher and mentor, Gary “Biscuit” Davis.
Aidan also loves the outdoors and is incredibly passionate about 4H, including being an active member of the fishing project, working with and showing horses, and raising and showing his chickens.
