This was the follow-up to the Seldom Scene's groundbreaking first album
Act 1. In terms of song selection and over all production it is very close to their wonderful debut release. It leans a bit more to the contemporary with songs like John Prine's “Paradise,” Norman Blake's fine “Last Train From Poor Valley” and Paul Craft's “Keep Me From Blowing Away,” as well as a good Starling original “Gardens and Memories.” Three traditional entries in “I’ve Lost You,” “House of Gold” and “The Sweetest Gift,” are all killers too
