Biography
At a time when music is dominated by Dance and Rap, ROCKBAND brings raw, ugly rock & roll crashing back into the charts. They are not perfect; they are ugly, dirty; vulnerable, and occasionally sensitive, as their breakthrough hit “Anything But Love” shows. While Seifert and Bart ferociously spit out dueling guitar riffs worthy of any punk or metal band, Tod screeches out his tales of loss, love, and apathy; bassist Sonrodes and drummer Chris Emery are a limber rhythm section that keep the music loose and powerful. ROCKBAND’ music is basic and gritty, with a solid hard, bluesy base; they are dark, sleazy, dirty, and honest, everything that a good hard rock and heavy metal band should be. There is something refreshing about a band that could provoke so much devotion from fans and fellow musicians alike. There hasn’t been a hard rock band this raw or talented in years, and they are given added weight by Tod’s primal vocal delivery, the sound of confused, frustrated white trash vying for his piece of the pie. As 2008 rolls on there simply isn’t a more interesting band around. ROCKBAND began work on the long-awaited RockRecord in 2003. In October of that year, the band hired Chris Emery from American Headcharge. During recording, the band continued to used Brian Bart as producer and Guitar player. By the time the sessions were near completion, the new album had started to evolve. After being delayed for nearly a year, the album RockRecord has finally been released.
