I am excited to present "The Song That Made Hank Williams Dance," the first single off of my upcoming June 24th Rebel Records release
Calling You From My Mountain. I began preparing my second Rebel project to record in Nashville in the fall of 2020. The seriousness of the COVID outbreak put those plans on hold. I had unexpected time to think about this recording and what direction to go in. Initially the songs were in homage to Hank Williams and his alias, Luke the Drifter. I loved Luke the Drifter's humble homilies, "A Picture From Life's Other Side," "Be Careful of Stones That You Throw," and Hank's own epic, "The Old Log Train." As Joe Val said, these were the "Mossy Ones." Singer, songwriter, guitar picker Shawn Camp was a natural fit for "The Song That Made Hank Williams Dance." Thank you Shawn for jumping in and making this come to life with your lead vocal and harmonies.
