Junior Sisk has a strong, distinctive voice and knows how to use it. On
Blue Side Of The Blue Ridge, Sisk made his debut as a bandleader by playing straight, hard-edged, traditional bluegrass he has since become famous for. He is backed here by a solid band that includes his relative and long time cohort Tim Massey (harmony vocals & bass). This album also features a good collection of songs that are sure to please fans of that hard-driving sound, including "Leaving Baker County," (a Tom T. Hall song), "I Did the Leaving For You," "Little Bit of This, Little Bit of That," and the title track.
