Biography
Her voice is sexy, sad and sassy all at once. Joanne’s long awaited debut album consists of 8 unique arrangements of classic American songbook standards and 4 originals that range from swinging big band to haunting cabaret. Her record is a blend of Jazz, Pop and Latin flavors that are mixed into a delicious recipe that is all her own. There is nothing traditional about this pop vocalist or her album,“Making Light”.
She has received rave reviews in Penthouse and the Washington Post for her live performances. Making Light features outstanding performances from pianist Marc Huggenberger (Natalie Cole) and bassist Osama Afifi (B Sharp Quartet), and engineered by Bobby Ginsberg (Rod Stewart). Even before the album's release, Joanne appeared on the soundtrack of the feature film Roger Dodger starring Campbell Scott and lsabella Rossellini.
