Biography
My name is Jason Richison and I love traditional country music. I am proud to say that we have some amazing talent on this album! Joplin, MO is home to some of the finest pickers and singers you will ever find. Among them is a man named Dewayne Bowman who can sing Ray Price better than, if I dare say, Ray Price himself ! There is also a guitar monster (and I dont use that phrase lightly,) named Charlie Loveless , who plays like no one youve ever heard before. If you enjoy honky-tonk piano, your ears will be delighted to hear what Chris Kissel can do with a good country arrangement. With Randy Vander pool on bass guitar, and Johnny Winters on drums, all of these songs have an undeniable country beat that is sure to get your feet tapping. Shawn Howe has provided all the fiddle flavor you hear throughout this project while three very talented steel guitar men (Dave Muskgrave, Jerry Rich, and Johnny Rose) supply us with all the string bending pleasure any one album should be allowed. Female vocal harmony doesnt get any sweeter than what Shana Lynette Stone has brought to the table. And if thats not enough, you might be interested to know that the disc is an enhanced CD. You can put it in your computer and see about ten minutes of actual studio session video footage, listen to a radio interview, scroll through some pictures, or click onto my web link. The insert also folds out and you can see and read more about the band members and get the inside story of how this project came together. We have had very good unsolicited response so far and I honestly believe you will not be disappointed. One fan told me that out of the 600 cds she owns, From A Jack To A King was the best all-round package!

Review from Honky Tonkin Music:

"If it's country/honky tonk you're after look no further, this one is it. Although the songs are mostly covers, they haven't been performed any better and in some cases not as well. To use a worn out term, the pickers are "awesome". Instrumentation: electric "chicken pickin" lead, tearful pedal steel guitar, cryin fiddle, honky tonk piano, bass, drums & harmony vocals.....Disc also contains video footage of actual studio session. 14 performances. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. "

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
