Biography
Isaac's global journey has taken him from his home in Ethiopia to Sudan, Egypt, Italy, Belgium and Holland. While in Sudan, he heard Bob Marley's music for the first time--"Get Up Stand Up." Although Isaac spoke no English, that was a pivotal moment in his life. He realized that music could change the course of his life and give him the tools to spread his message of hope, peace and faith.
Eventually he found his way to the U.S. and settled in Los Angeles. He has been performing ever since, playing clubs, major festivals and tours across the U.S. and Canada.
Isaac's blend of Ethiopian roots reggae, world music and dub has fired audiences from coast-to-coast. People react very strongly to his positive message and charisma. He's looking forward to touring again and has been busy recording his cd "ETHIOPIA" on his own label, Conscious Music Records as well as working with other artists, writing, producing and singing. Isaac has released several electronic dub albums in his native language, Amharic and English and are available through cdbaby for download: www.cdbaby/IsaacHaileSelassie
