A born and bred central Kentuckian with a songwriters passion a dreamers hope and a touch of never ending persistence to be the best version of himself. Dan has been chasing his musical aspirations since his early introduction to melodies as a child and realizing his passion as a musician and performer upholding the standards it takes to be respected for your craft. Songwriting in the early days was painful as he realized you have to live to learn ." Intermittent gratification" he was told by an early mentor was insight to how it takes time to achieve your goals. Or the old joke ,How do you eat an elephant ? One bite at a time . So the present day still finds Dan chasing the magic it takes to create something worthwhile in music or life itself. Involved in various other pursuits Dan is active in the thoroughbred industry with ties to world class horses and racing . Skilled solo performer with vast repertoire of cover songs bringing multiple genre's to life . This latest group of original songs are a taste of Bluegrass or Americana flavored with a few leftovers from earlier sessions . Recorded at Duane Lundy's Shangri-La studio in Lexington Ky. with the help of guitar master Jesse Pena, a veteran of the road as band leader for Jeannie C Riley and others with 14 years in Nashville as a do it all kind of guy. William Marshall top of the line bass player who spent years with house band at Renfro Valley in Ky. Maggie Lander an up and coming talent on fiddle and backing vocals destined for household name status with her skills. Tripp Bratton percussionist another guy who could work for anybody. So for Dan it was a lucky group of talent with endless possibility's. As recordings go Dan cuts live with a few overdubs so there will be some bumps in the road but your product will be original top to bottom FYI : Little known fact, Duane had worked with Sturgill Simpson in his early days with the band Sunday Valley before his climb to critical and unquestionable success.
