Henry and Kathleen Salvia take off with “Curious Bling” an americana/folk jazz flight that soars through the secrets of the universe, zooms in on life here on earth, and dives into the heart and soul of one individual’s inner dialog. Translation: There are no love songs on this CD, but there are songs you will love.

Composer Henry Salvia plays piano, accordion, guitar, ukulele, and triangle, while leading the band, which also features fellow Houston Jones member Glenn Pomianek on guitar. Henry’s other credits include being a founding member of the Johnny Nocturne Band (a “little big band” led by David Bromberg alumnus and tenor sax-great John Firmin). He also records and appears with The Lucky Devils (a labor of love driven by Huey Lewis sax player and songwriter, Johnny Colla.) He has appeared on stages from throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan.

Lyricist Kathleen Enright Salvia writes and sings stories from a heart and soul which could only have been forged by loving so many different kinds of music. Classic country, rock ‘n roll, blues, girl group rock, and even heavy metal all have a special place in her heart as well as her repetoire. Her career also includes a turn as a member and soloist with Terrance Kelly and the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. She was a featured vocalist on The Firmin/Fejy Sessions, and most recently appeared alongside Roger McGuinn, and Mary Karr with author-band, The Rock Bottom Remainders.
