Biography

Gene Strandquist has completed his album "Rangeland Rider" which is available for purchase at WALMART.COM and AMAZON.COM.

It is a seven song EP with a title track called "Rangeland Rider", a fast-paced chuckwagon song written exclusively for the Calgary Stampede chuckwagon races, and features the voice of JOE CARBURY, legendary chuckwagon announcer.

It includes other tracks such as "Distant Sorrow", a haunting voice and piano composition; "Standing At My Father's Door", an upbeat tune about getting old and accepting mortality; "Misery", a tale of drug-related disfunction in a relationship, and "Food To The Hungry", a steamy little latin number about a man, a brothel, and the symbiosis that exists between a man's need and a woman's compromise.

Two other beautifully executed tracks on the EP are "Alida" and "I Wasn't Lookin'.
