While most artists talk about it, EmRe prefers to live it. The self-proclaimed industry assassin is aiming to make his mark on the music scene, both in Canada and overseas. The Turkish Canadian artist is determined to represent for both his hometown of Edmonton, AB and Turkey.
When asked about Turkey, the love for his country back home is undeniable,
"It’s about reppin' for the Moon and Star. Right now the Turkish people don't have that guy in music that every other country and nationality has,representing their people and their country. What I'm doing is about reppin'for the Turkish people and making sure our voice is heard".

Long recognized in Edmonton for his unparalleled ability to freestyle, in 2010 EmRe decided it was time to pick up the pen and pad and focus his talent into making music. In pursuit of that goal, he developed a strong working relationship with CP Records, Canada's top independent record label,and went straight to work. After just a few short months, EmRe's highly anticipated debut mix tape, Moon & Star, featuring hit tracks with Belly, Kobe and Caspian, was released in May 2010. Along with features from top artists in Canada, the mixtape demonstrates EmRe's versatility on the mic.
