About Ekklesia

Elder Stephen Evans and Minister David Range are the eldest and youngest children of the Rev. Genevieve Brown of Joliet, IL.

Together they form the gospel duo known as EKKLESIA (ee-clay-see-ah), a Greek word which means Called Out. They have recently released their debut CD entitled What cha" Waitin 4? and are receiving raved reviews.

Elder Stephen Evans is a licensed and ordained minister under the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship. Bishop Paul S. Morton Presiding Bishop.

Elder Evans was one of the opening performers for Ann Nesby at Mt. Zion M.B Church, under the Pastorate of the Reverend Isaac Singleton, when she returned for a benefit concert in the early 1990"s.

Gospel music to Elder is not just music -- it is ministry. It speaks to people"s souls and encourages, heals, and strengthens them. He loves the Lord, and has been anointed to write, teach and sing for His Glory.

Minister David Range treasures two things: the love of the Lord and music. Minister Range took his talent to the community through schools, plays and radio.

Compared to such musical giants as Phillip Bailey and Smokey Robinson, Ranges voice reaches beyond the secular and into the world where he can share his life experiences with the hearts of others.

Minister Range is an Associate Minister at St. John M.B. Church, located Joliet, IL., where the Rev. Herbert Brooks Jr. is the Pastor.

Over the years, his expertise grew, allowing him opportunities to perform at many local events, including sports venues for the National Athem and at local gospel festivals.

Ekklesia is scheduled to open at the 27th Annual Chicago Music Awards on January 28,2008. They are also performing at the Spring 2008 Bobby Jones Gospel Industry Retreat.

The brothers are working very hard in their music ministry to accomplish their goal of performing at the Stella Awards one day. These anointed men of God, wrote, produced, arranged and sang all background vocals on their dubut CD. Their vocal quality and music has been labeled as the "funk infused contemporary gospel doo-wop".

"Radio Creds" are votes awarded to artists by radio programmers who have downloaded their music and have been impressed with the artist's professionalism and the audience's response to the new music. Creds help artists advance through the AirPlay Direct community.

Only radio accounts may add a Radio Cred. One week after the track has been downloaded the radio account member will receive an email requesting a Cred for each artist they've downloaded.
