Biography
Though Dennis Warner resides in his beloved Minnesota, his travels have taken him to all fifty states and beyond, averaging over 100+ dates a year. He is noted for blending humor, up-tempo and serious music into a fun and memorable concert suitable for all ages. In other words, he's an entertainer.
Warner has been a guest on numerous TV and radio programs, including being prominently featured on WFMT’s widely syndicated “Midnight Special”. In recognition for his songwriting, he accepted an invitation to perform in concert at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. He is also a three time new folk finalist for songwriting at the Kerrville Folk Festival (TX).
Warner's Tenth CD, "BEEP BEEP" is also his first children's album. Besides featuring two originals, he includes songs from his youth that his dad used to sing as well as newer songs written by friends and colleagues he's met along the way. Not being full of silly ditty songs, but rather thought provoking and clever, seems to attract adults to this CD as well.
Dennis Warner’s ninth CD “SEEDS” was named one of the top albums of 2012 by FOLK-DJ. They also named Dennis one of the top artists of 2012 in the folk music genre.
Produced at his own Thousand Pines recording studio, “SEEDS” features Dennis both as a solo artist and also with his longtime band, “the D’s” - Dan Neale, Derrick Raiter and Dennis “DK” Kennedy. Several of his friends join in with guest appearances, including
J.D. Steele (Prince), Freebo (Bonnie Raitt) and Paul Diethelm (Jonny Lang)
Many might recognize Warner as the author of the popular children’s book “Beads on One String”. Already in its Sixth Printing, “Beads on One String” has become a favorite with teachers, parents and kids alike for its powerful, positive message of unity combined with beautiful illustrations.
Warner accompanies his smooth vocals with six and twelve string guitars.
