Biography

RICHARD DEROSA has arranged and conducted music for Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra to feature Toots Thielemans, Annie Ross, and Abbey Lincoln among several other notable artists. His arrangements for the Wynton Marsalis quintet feature Willie Nelson and Norah Jones on the Blue Note record label. Other commissioned arrangements have been performed and/or recorded by the New York Pops, the Cleveland and Houston orchestras, the Portland Symphony (Maine), the Swedish Radio and Television Orchestra, and the Metropole Orchestra in Holland. In addition to many recorded arrangements for vocalist Susannah McCorkle (Concord), he has also created arrangements for rising trumpet star Dominick Farinacci on his CD Lovers, Tales, and Dances, and acclaimed solo violinist Anne Akiko Meyers on her CD Seasons…Dreams. Mr. DeRosa’s compositions for television, film, and theater include background music cues for Another World, As the World Turns, The Guiding Light, commercials for Telex, Bristol-Meyers, and Kodak, various documentaries broadcast on PBS, orchestrations for independent films Gray Matters, East Broadway, and Standard Time, and original music scores for the national touring theater company ArtsPower as well as orchestrations for Frankenstein, the Musical.

DEBORAH ANDERSON has worked with Emmy Award winning theater and film directors Tad Danielewski, Quinn Orr and Sarah Pia Anderson. She’s also studied under several Royal Court and National Theater directors from London while obtaining her Masters degree. Her creative talent as an actress has aided her in creating the concepts and writing the melodies for the music, as if each song were like acting out a monologue. Deborah has acted professionally on the stage and screen, including performances for the Arts and Entertainment Network, The Salt Lake Acting Company (Equity Theater), voice-overs, film and radio. It was an honor for Deborah to be invited by Quinn Orr to join the Emmy Awards Judging Panel for Short Documentary. She enjoys composing varied styles of music.
