Biography

Leroy Fitzgerald Brathwaite is an established Soca/Reggae Artiste and song writer. He has written songs for some of the top name bands in the Caribbean. The likes of Square One, Blue Ventures, Alison Hinds, Sennell Demster, Denise Belafonte, T.C., Keann, Nathalie Burke, Khiomal of Cross Fyah just to mention a few. Leroy, formerly known as Daddy I’Roy in the secular world, was a three (3) times finalist in the popular Barbados Crop-Over Party Monarch Competition. He represented Barbados in the first Bajan Invasion that took place in Trinidad, toured with Square One and Cross Fire and performed in many Caribbean Countries. Leroy has also recorded one secular Album entitled, “Busting Out”. De Warrior, as he is now known, was baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit at the age of 11, but with a young mind got caught up in the world, doing worldly things. However, three years ago he has reconnected himself with God’s Kingdom and is totally sold out for God and doing his will. Warrior has just completed his first Gospel Album entitled “Thy Will Be Done” and has recently shared the stage with Jason Mighty on New Years Eve at the concert Break Forth, held in Barbados. Warrior’s most recent International performance was at National Park in Guyana, January 31, 2009 at the Freedom Step Concert which featured Monty G and Mr. Lynx from the Bahamas and Christafari from the USA. His most recent accomplishment was winning “Song Writer of the Year” at the Flame Awards in Barbados. De Warrior is honoured and blessed to be a devoted Christian and Son of the living God. De Warrior has written all of his songs, and is the executive producer of his album “Thy Will Be Done”. De Warrior has recently been signed to highly acclaimed Christian Record Company Bloodwash Records and is now working on the rerelease and repackaging of his debut album to launched this summer in Barbados. "Warrior has been a great addtion to the Bloodwash Records Family since he brings his unique style and sound to enhance an already strong team of Mr. Militant and Gozzy" said President and CEO Mr. Ramon Dummett as he commented on De Warrior's signing.
