Biography

Colin has been a weave in the tapestry of Twin Cities music for 20 yrs. As a guitar teacher, a performer, a singer, a songwriter, a recording artist, he remains prolific and relevant. His previous “Pandemic Album” ‘Music Is Medicine 20/20’, was released in 2023. The entire album was recorded using the voice memo app. He later had the entire album mastered through a tape machine. It’s a deeply personal and wonderful album that opened up ‘the method’ to create the next album, that being, SIMPLE GIFTS.

SIMPLE GIFTS, It’s an Americana Album, with vocal jazz alla Hoagy Carmichael. Old fashioned Blues, Singer Songwriter, lyrics that have more meaning, chords that are more traditional. The album features mostly acoustic guitar and overall has a vintage sound. Very intimate, refreshingly simple instrumentation. High quality audio. Basically live recordings with minimal overdubbing and layering. The recordings capture the honest song that day, and honestly what more could you ask for?!
