I've been playing the 5 string banjo and bluegrass music for more than 20 years. In all these years, I've attended many bluegrass festivals, workshops and concerts, with and without my band, the Stonebones & Bad Spaghetti.

In 2010, I was diagnosed with focal hand dystonia. This condition had a huge impact on my evolution as a banjo player. I tried to overcome the problem by switching fingers and continued to practice so I don't give up. Although I feel the progression of the disease, giving up was not an option, and never will be.

Portugal is a country where bluegrass music is almost non-existing. Because of that, I try to show the portuguese audience and musicians what bluegrass music is all about. The record Beyond the Tagus River is the result of that will and has some of my jam friends that I've met at festivals and jams all over the world.
