Biography
Alysha Brooke is a country artist born in Oakville, On. She started her dancing performance career on stage at the age of three and singing by the time she entered public school. She danced for 16 years, performing in numerous competitions including a very special performance at Ceasar's Palace in Vegas. She combined both skills at the age of 13. Her songwriting skills developed as she turned 14 and by the age of 16 she decided to record a self produced six track album, giving up dance competitions for music. The CD entitled "Nuthin' but a Chevy" took over a year to complete as she was financing the project herself and once completed it did better than her expectations. It was being played in American and European stations. The final single released from that CD -"This Time" - reached the top chart spot at The Country Edge, a Toronto based monitored radio wave. In June 2005 she signs to indie label Cedar Trail Records and travels to Nashville in August ta attend the NSAI Songwriters Symposium where she recorded a version of Patsy Cline's "Walking After Midnight" at the Ryman Auditorium - old home of the Grand Ole' Opry. She also performed one of her original songs which was a thrill beyond words. In the fall of 2005 she was asked to sing the National Anthems live at special events, a real honour for her. In February 2006 she experienced her first national TV appearance at the Smith & Hayes Talk Show promoting and singing "I Talk Country", title track of her upcoming release on April 1st. A variety of different sounds from the new flourishing country with some deep roots, producing a little taste for everyone. Alysha will be spending the summer on the road promoting the new album which includes a performance in the States. At the CD release party her promotional team will be watching for line dancers on the dance floor to be chosen for her upcoming video to be filmed in late April/early May of this year. So get out those boots, dust 'em off and come out and dance 'em away!! Alysha Brooke is a member of the following associations : CCMA, CMA, OCPFA, CIRAA, NSAI, SOCAN, ASCAP.
