Biography
Starting out in the boys choir at church in '64, Mark soon learned to play bass and joined a local garage band, as was popular at the time, where he was allowed to learn the art of harmony singing. Joining a folk based group in high school as bass player and singer, he started to develop a wide range on his playing and singing. Mark picked up guitar in '69 when he realized he couldn't play bass solos all the time and land any gigs. He uses all his influences growing up in the music he writes, from rock sounding to folk style to christian. Mark plays any and all types of venues, from bars and restruants to farmer's markets and weddings in the church where he plays weekly. Most of his music has to be classified as folk/americana/easy listening as he mixes oldies, originals and a little country into his shows. A sampling of his variety of songs are demonstrated here.
