Biography

After 10 years as an pioneering member helping to establish the "jamband" music scene in northern California, James Williams and his younger brother Phil & moved to Colorado in 2000. Since then THE WILLIAMS BROTHERS BAND has established themselves as a mainstay of Colorado. TWBB is one of the longest-running & most successful bands from the state. Beloved all over the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. They not only headline the region's top venues & festivals, tour all over the western United States, but are highly sought out as direct support to play with the biggest national acts touring the area as well. The hit single, "CIRCLES" was nominated for a Golden Kayak Award by the International Academy Of Independent Artists for best Rock Song. TWBB hit #1 on the mp3.com Blues charts twice with JOHNNY THE SQUIRREL, & DEEP ELEM BLUES. GET ME DOWN from "Live at The Mesa Theater" hit #5 on the Soundclick Americana Charts , CHINAMAN BLUES was the #2 song on podcasts world-wide in 2014, & album placed 3 songs simultaneously on Soundclick's top 20 Blues Rock Charts as well. A new studio album is scheduled for release in the summer of 2019, the first single "Queen of the Honky Tonk" was released June 11th, 2018 and immediately hit #1 on the Indie Music People Country Charts, and hit #24 on the Australian/New Zealand Country Charts. The Second single "Outlaw Country" was released March 0f 2019, and entered the Hot Disc Top 40 Charts in Europe at #37 on April 4th, 2019.
