Biography
The Silvertones where founded in 1993 by Kyle Copland, Brian Wicker, and Randy Ball.
The band has made a few changes along the way to solidify their sound. Randy has played drums and done lead vocals from the begining. Brian switched from rhythm guitar to bass guitar early on with the band. When Kyle had to leave the band, he was replaced Leo De La Vega who has been playing guitar and sharing the lead vocal duties in the band. Randy and Leo are both very good songwriters. The band plays primarily blues with hints of jazz, swing, jump blues, rockabilly, and rock-n-roll. The music is all of the influences that they grew up with. When they do cover songs, they make them their own with the band’s unique style. The band has won the Dallas Observer’s award for “Best Blues Act” four times.
