Biography

Humming melodies before her mouth could even form words, music has always been a part of ShaKara MoNique’s life. She wrote her first song at the age of only five. As she got older her parents helped her to develop her musical talents by allowing her sing in various choirs and groups. Although she loves ministering in song her heart is in songwriting and hopes to write for other artists in the future.

Having a passion for Praise & Worship ShaKara wants to one day travel the world worshiping with Gods people. ShaKara Monique was born in Detroit, MI but now resides in Fredericksburg, VA.

She is currently working on her debut CD entitled “UN4GOT10 DESTINY” set to release in late 2012. She describes it as a blend of Contemporary Christian Pop/Rock. ShaKara has written most of the songs on the project along with Music Producers, Joseph VanBuren III and Johnny Kyle of J & T Studios. ShaKara’s goal is to reach those who are outside of the church walls. Her first single entitled, “Destiny” is set to release June 5th 2012. She is grateful to God for opening doors and knows there are greater things to come in the future.
