CMH Records is proud to announce the re-release of the Mac Wiseman classic “Songs That Made The Jukebox Play”, parts 1and 2.
Born in 1925 and making records until 2015, Mac Wiseman lived a life of music, performing regularly with bluegrass pioneers Bill Monroe, Lester Flatt, Earl Scruggs and Eddie Adcock and recording collaborative records with country legends Merle Haggard, John Prine and Doc Watson.
“I can’t think of another album quite as powerful as this one. These are truly SONGS THAT MADE THE JUKEBOX PLAY. I’m sure they’re songs that’ll make every Mac Wiseman fan happy to have the album in their collection, including your long-time friend…” ~ Merle Travis
MAC WISEMAN
"SONGS THAT MADE THE JUKEBOX PLAY"
Country - Bluegrass
A country and bluegrass devotee, this 1980 album features the bluegrass titan taking on 22 classics of the once popular (but always timeless) style of Western swing.
With his one-of-a-kind delivery, he achieves all the humor, wit and heart that characterizes the genre at its best. Captured in the warm and clear hi-fi production of its time, "Songs that Made the Jukebox Play" is not only an album of interest to fans of Wiseman and Western swing, but an excellent introduction to both.
