EARWIG MUSIC RELEASES A SUMMERTIME SELECTION FROM THEIR DEEP CATALOG

"We at Earwig Music Company are still celebrating receiving the 'Iconic Innovator' Award from AirPlay Direct. Thanks Lynda and Robert Weingartz for the honor.
The Earwig artists and sounds selected for June are a mix of artists who I had read about and collected their LPs before I got to Chicago 50 years ago.
I met many musicians in the 1970s - including Honeyboy Edwards, Johnny Drummer, Willie Kent, Sunnyland Slim, Aron Burton and Cadillac Baby. Since then, I met many others, including Louisiana Red, Johnny "Yard Dog" Jones and Lil Ed Williams who I knew about but did not meet until the early 1990s. I also recorded musicians whose friends brought them to my attention - including Dennis Binder and Liz Mandeville. And to top the set off, in this June collection, I also included the musicians I met during my first trip to Mississippi in 1975 - The Jelly Roll Kings - whose Clarksdale, Mississippi club sets inspired me to start Earwig Music Company in 1978.
