The Birthplace of Country Music (BCM), parent organization of the Birthplace of Country Music Museum, the Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion music festival, and Radio Bristol, took home top honors at the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Association's (NETTA) 19th annual Pinnacle Awards, including "Best of Show" for BCM's interactive remote exhibit at the Bristol, Virginia Welcome Center. BCM received two Pinnacle Awards for its public relations and advertising campaigns surrounding the CD release of "Orthophonic Joy: The 1927 Bristol Sessions Revisited", an award was given for the organization's website, and one for the economic impact of Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion, which is estimated to add more than $16 million in tax revenue for Bristol and the surrounding region.

“AirPlay Direct is proud to acknowledge the accomplishments of our partners at Birthplace of Country Music. We are especially proud of the awards they received surrounding the ‘Orthophonic Joy: The 1927 Bristol Sessions Revisited’ CD.”   Lynda Weingartz, CEO - AirPlay Direct

In 2015 Birthplace of Country Music released “Orthophonic Joy: the 1927 Bristol Sessions Revisited”; produced by 3 time Grammy winner, Carl Jackson. AirPlay Direct created and executed the exclusive year-long global radio strategy for “Orthophonic Joy”. This very successful collaboration has now led AirPlay Direct, Birthplace of Country Music and Collective Evolution to consummating a unique new strategic partnership deal for 2016.

"Everyone at the Birthplace of Country Music is inspired and passionate about our mission”, said Leah Ross, BCM Executive Director. “This partnership with AirPlay Direct has proven to be very exciting, because it has allowed BCM to work with industry experts at AirPlay Direct to build an innovative strategy to help establish and sustain ‘Orthophonic Joy’ and Radio Bristol. Any achievement by our organization is a direct reflection of the hard work of our staff, volunteers and business partners. We are very grateful our work has been recognized."
