CMW Charts “Powered by AirPlay Direct” Available Exclusively for Global Radio Delivery

NASHVILLE, TN (April 8, 2010) -- AirPlay Direct, the global digital-to-radio music delivery platform, and Christian Music Weekly (CMW), a chart and information leader serving the Christian music industry, have announced a strategic partnership that will include long-term co-branding opportunities and will introduce the first global-reaching Christian music charts.

All nine CMW charts are “Powered by AirPlay Direct” and available exclusively for global radio delivery on the AirPlay Direct website CMW and their charts have just debuted as a dedicated feature section in the April edition of the Direct Buzz, AirPlay Direct’s digital / interactive publication

The new partnership will also feature a major contest that will bring exposure to a large group of independent Christian artists. Details on the artist-driven contest will be forthcoming.

The deep-reaching strategic partnership will include both companies offering print and web-based benefits to the other for the shared purpose of serving Christian artists throughout the world. Both AirPlay Direct and CMW offer free subscriptions and services that the Christian industry can take advantage of, thus saving the average Christian artist money while they endeavor to impact global culture with their music.

“This is a proud moment for AirPlay Direct as we join with Rick Welke, Rob Green and Christian Music Weekly to spread Christian music to a larger worldwide audience,” states Robert Weingartz, CEO of AirPlay Direct. “Rick’s strengths and deep connections in the Christian music world will allow us to greatly expose and expand this ever-growing genre together. And, propel it to new heights of excellence as more deserving artists are given the opportunity to showcase their music through our mutual platforms.”

CMW Editor Rick Welke states, “This is the first of many strategic partnerships CMW is looking forward to offering up to the Christian music community in 2010, and we couldn't be more pleased. AirPlay Direct's services are unparalleled in the music industry in regard to the level of opportunities they offer the individual artist, many of them for free, or for a nominal cost. Their radio single delivery service in particular will erase the broken bridge between radio and the individual indie artist, bringing more music to the local stations here and abroad. We're honored to be partnering with AirPlay Direct and their great staff in this arena.” Welke is the former Christian music editor for the now-defunct national trade publication Radio & Records.
