In early 2012, one of our primary goals as a label was to reintroduce Bobby Bare to a national Americana fan base and therefore to remind voters within The Country Music Association that Bobby Bare is worthy of induction into The Country Music Hall of Fame. Our efforts with his 2012 Darker Than Light album directly led to his nomination and the eventual announcement in March 2013 that he would be inducted alongside Kenny Rogers and Cowboy Jack Clement. We are currently working to secure and Americana Association nomination as well as a Grammy nomination in the Americana genre.
On May 14th, 2013, we released a 19 track multi-artist/multi-genre tribute to Eddy Arnold. We have already received national press for this project in Billboard magazine, No Depression and other national publications. Some artists involved are Frank Black of The Pixies, Peter Noone of Herman’s Hermits, Lambchop and Drivin’ N’ Cryin’ and Sylvain Sylvain of The New York Dolls.
Since May of 2013, we have released JD Wilkes & The Dirt Daubers’ Wild Moon LP, Cheetah Chrome’s Solo EP, Paul Burch’s Fevers LP, Buzz Cason’s Troubadour Heart CD & Chuck Mead’s Free State Serenade LP, The Ghost Wolves' Man, Woman, Beast', The Fauntleroys' 'Below The Pink Pony' & in January 2015, Jim Ed Brown's 'In Style Again'.
